At Peter Morris Funeral Directors we are dedicated to providing superior care and we have established our reputation by providing exceptional service at an affordable cost. Our business has been family owned and operated since 2004. We provide a dedicated service to local families and are very highly respected in Mold and surrounding areas. Whilst most of our work is local, we have arranged funerals as far afield as Portsmouth and Aberdeen.
Our funeral home is a comfortable and traditional building, with a warm, friendly feel. We offer private visitation chapels, a visitor reception area and a private arrangement room. Each room in the funeral home has been designed with the intention of providing comfort and serenity to visiting families.
We provide complete funeral services, including pre-arrangement planning. From your first contact with us we will be able to offer advice on the procedures that need to be followed in order to prepare for the funeral you want for your loved one. We will explain how to register the death and will make the appointments with the registrar. We will guide you through what happens if the coroner is involved and answer any questions you may have.
We will guide you with your arrangements so that the cost will be within your means and that the service you plan will be meaningful. We appreciate that funeral needs have changed over the years and our dedicated team will guarantee you receive a compassionate service and provide an individual and dignified funeral for your loved one. We will give advice and help for as much or as little as you require regarding the responsibilities you would like us to take care of for the funeral arrangements.

Our private Chapels of Rest provide a peaceful setting should you wish to visit your loved one before the funeral service. Many families wish to provide own clothes in which to dress their loved ones, however, we can provide a gown if preferred. If you would like any personal items such as photos or letters placed in the coffin, then we can do this on your behalf or, if you prefer, you may do this yourself when visiting the Chapel. Visits to our Chapel of Rest can be made by appointment.
We are proud to offer our extensive fleet of Mercedes vehicles for hire.
The fleet consists of a hearse, limousines and executive cars. The limousines will comfortably carry seven passengers and are fully air-conditioned. The executive car will comfortably carry four passengers if you prefer a smaller vehicle and again is fully air-conditioned.
All vehicles are maintained to the highest quality to provide elegance to any funeral cortege.
Should you wish for something more traditional we can also arrange for a horse drawn carriage. If something more individual is required, we can arrange for the use of a motorcycle hearse, classic and vintage vehicles or coloured modern fleets.
Funeral stationary is a simple way of personalising a funeral and provides an opportunity to create a unique commemoration to the person who has died. With our in-house design and print facility we are able to produce your order of service to your exact requirements. Our beautifully designed Orders of Service can include photographs, personal messages, readings, hymns and poems. Photographs can be printed in colour or black and white. We also provide attendance cards, which gives you a lasting keepsake of everybody who has attended the funeral service. Many people also like to keep the service sheets after the funeral service as a keepsake or to send them to those who were not able to attend.
We can help you to choose and order a fitting floral tribute. Flowers can help create a unique and personalised service. We have a wide variety available from coffin sprays, wreaths, posies or even specially shaped arrangements to help reflect your loved ones personality and interests. Our florist will be more than happy to accommodate your wishes.

In addition to remembering a loved one by means of spoken tribute it is now possible to incorporate an audio, or a visual or an audio-visual tribute into the service.
We are able to complete this entire element of the service from design to performance without the need of including third parties.
Should you wish to design your own presentation we will happily assist with its presentation.
Arrangements can be made for refreshments following the funeral. There are a number of options available to suit your personal needs. Our caterer can provide refreshments either in a venue of your choice or in the comfort of your home. This can range from a simple finger buffet to a more elaborate choice of menu and in certain cases waitress service can be provided. We can also provide details of local hotels, restaurants, public houses and church or social clubs that may be available to you and make arrangements if you wish. Further advice and sample menus may be obtained from our office.
We have a wide range of coffins to fit everyone’s needs. Our traditional shaped wood coffin collection includes veneered and solid oak.
There is also the option to choose an American style casket.
Specially made coffins are also available displaying unique designs, such as favourite football team colours, personal photographs or specific objects such as boats, planes, trains and so on. Green burials and eco-friendly coffins are becoming increasingly popular and these can be constructed in a number of materials such as cardboard, bamboo, willow and seagrass.
Much like the coffins, the cremated remains caskets and urns also come in a variety of options and can match the coffin if desired.

Why Pre-Arrange my funeral?
When you take out a Funeral Plan you are not only ensuring that your thoughts and wishes will be carried out exactly as you want, but also that your loved ones will be spared the heartache of making difficult decisions at the time of need. Furthermore, their decisions will not be influenced by rising funeral costs.
How It Works
No funeral Director is able to hold funds privately prior to a funeral service therefore we have to employ the services of a funeral planning company who are responsible for holding the funds and information provided, the company we choose is called Golden Charter. They hold the finance and invest it in trust so that the costs paid now are sufficient to cover the costs at the time of the funeral. The cost of the funeral is based as if it were to take place today, with today’s costs tailored to your requests which mean you are only charged for the elements you wish to include.
Who are Golden Charter?
They only work with independent funeral directors, such as ourselves, to ensure that families receive a personal, face-to-face service. They are endorsed by the leading bodies within the funeral profession – SAIF (Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors) and the FPA (Funeral Planning Authority), the FPA was created in response to Government legislation introduced to ensure protection of money paid by consumers for funeral plans, you therefore have reassurance that you are dealing with one of the most reputable companies in the industry, one which maintains high standards and protects its plan holders funds. How much will it cost?
That’s difficult to say without talking with us. All funeral plans are costed as if the funeral were to take place today at today’s prices, the only outside cost is a one-off administration charge to Golden Charter of £199.00. With every funeral being tailored to your needs we will be happy to sit down with you, whether in your own home or at our offices, and discuss the outline of requirements and provide you with a detailed no obligation quotation.
